Masseria Battifarano - Cantine Cerrolongo

Torre Bollita-Basilicata, DOC, Red,14%

It is so called from the name of an ancient coast tower of defence, property of the family. It was built by the Aragoneses in the 6th century and it is opposite the Jonio sea. This wine has a full body and a good propensity to the ageing and it is composed by a blend of grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Primitivo. These grapes are cultivated on lands which face south and have a clayey-slimy granulometry. The latter gives to the wine an elevated fullness and alcoholic degree together with a bouquet of ripe red fruits and intense ruby-red.
